School of Social Sciences Brown Bag Lecture Series

Join us for another School of Social Sciences Brown Bag lecture on Monday, March 1st at 12 pm with Lena McQuade, Professor of Women’s & Gender Studies, who will be discussing her recent research, Centering Reproductive Justice During Public Health Crises

In her talk, Dr. McQuade will address the question: How can we use the Nineteenth-century history of infant mortality and organizing for health care in New Mexico to think about COVID-19 and health disparities in Latinx communities today? Her talk will focus specifically on birth control access and organizing during the 1930s in New Mexico and during the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020-2021 Brown Bag Series will take place via Zoom. Please join us: https://sonomastate.zoom.us/j/85901534770

The School of Social Sciences Brown Bag Series is always free, open to faculty, staff, students, and the public, and provides a congenial interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of recent research by School of Social Sciences faculty.
