Join us for another School of Social Sciences Brown Bag lecture on Monday, March 1st at 12 pm with Lena McQuade, Professor of Women’s & Gender Studies, who will be discussing her recent research, Centering Reproductive Justice During Public Health Crises.
In her talk, Dr. McQuade will address the question: How can we use the Nineteenth-century history of infant mortality and organizing for health care in New Mexico to think about COVID-19 and health disparities in Latinx communities today? Her talk will focus specifically on birth control access and organizing during the 1930s in New Mexico and during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
