Social Science Alumni Profiled in CSU's 30 Days of Pride

June 4, 2021

In honor of Pride Month, the CSU is highlighting 30 faculty, staff, alumni, and students who "are committed to breaking down closet doors year-round." We're proud to have two School of Social Science alumni on this list and advocating for and supporting our LGBTQIA communities!

Bianca Tonantzin Zamora graduated from SSU with a B.A. in Women's and Gender Studies. She currently serves as a coordinator and national workshop leader for CSU Monterey Bay's Otter Cross-Cultural Center and manages the Queer Trans Mentorship Program and Rainbow LGBTQ+ Graduation Celebration.

Laurel Holmstrom-Keyes graduated from SSU with a B.A. in Anthropology. She keeps the SSU LGBTQIA community connected by sending out reading and movie-viewing lists and coordinates a series of online forums called Tuesday Talks and helps maintain the LGBTQIA community listserv and website.

You can learn more about Bianaca and Laurel, and all 30 LGBTQIA advocates on the CSU 30 Days of Pride webpage
