Anthropology Professor Publishes Archaeology and Paleopathology Research with Students

August 20, 2023

Dr. Alexis Boutin has recently published two peer-reviewed journal articles with students. The first was written with Anthropology majors C. Midori Longo and Rosemary Lehnhard and published in the International Journal of Paleopathology in 2022. This project used bibliometric and altmetric analysis to argue for the continuing relevance of case studies in paleopathology, as a complement to population-based research. The second article appeared in the Journal of Archaeology and Education in 2023. It was written with Longo and former Cultural Resources Management M.A. student Victoria Calvin. This research evaluated general education archaeology curricula during the COVID-19 pandemic and gave recommendations for increasing its relevance. 2023 Alexis T. Boutin, C.
