Dr. Michelle Goman, a Professor of Geography, Environment, and Planning, co-organized and presented at the 30th Pacific Climate Workshop (PACLIM), which was held Feb 26th to March 1st at Asilomar, Pacific Grove.  The conference theme was Drought to Deluge: Challenges facing Climate Science and Policy in the West.

Her examination of fossil pollen and plant remains in the deposits provide a glimpse into the ecology of these ancient wetlands, which indicate periods of wetter climate and dune stability during the last 2500 years.

Over 70 climate scientists and policy professionals from across the country attended and presented their research. at PACLIM2023.
