GEP STUDENT CLAUDIA MURALLES APPOINTED TO MARIN COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION

The Sonoma State Geography, Environment, & Planning Department is honored to announce that our student Claudia Muralles has been officially appointed a member of the Marin County Planning Commission. Her appointment was made by a vote of the Marin County Board of Supervisors at their meeting on March 28, 2023. She will be serving as a Commissioner for a 4-year term, representing the City of Novato - District 5. Among Claudia’s main responsibilities will be making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all countywide and community plan elements and amendments, master plans, and re-zonings. She is excited to bring the perspective of an educated Latinx female, mother, and Environmental Science student to the Board.
