Zeke Baker (Sociology) Organizes Panel on History and Environment

Zeke Baker (Dept. of Sociology) chaired and presented research on a panel, “Environment, Society and Social Theory: Critical Conversations in Historical Sociology,” at the Annual Meeting of the Social Science History Association (SSHA) in Washington, DC. In this particular panel, Dr. Baker brought together established scholars in historical and environmental sociology, using authors’ diverse research agendas to consider broadly how to take a more thoroughly historical approach to contemporary environmental issues. Baker serves as Network Representative for the SSHA’s Education/Knowledge/Science Network, a position he has held since 2017.
