Research & Partnerships

The School of Social Sciences is home to distinguished authors and cutting-edge researchers. Our faculty and students work locally, nationally, and internationally to contribute to the political, economic, and cultural literacy of our citizens while expanding and preserving knowledge. The school is also a regional center for active social change and human betterment, advocacy, and planning through our strong ties to numerous local community partners. We are proud to offer SSU undergraduates opportunities to engage in social science research through the Social Science Undergraduate Research Initiative (SSURI) and to share their important work with our community through the Social Action Student Symposium (SASSy).

We invite you to click on the markers on the Faculty Research and Community Partners maps to learn more about the research and community work we are involved in as social scientists.
