Supporting Our Students

When it comes to supporting our students, faculty are at the forefront, providing not only Academic Advising, but also helping students find the resources across campus that they need to be successful.

CARE & Students of Concern

The CARE Team serves as a central network focused on assisting students displaying behaviors that may impede their ability to be successful in the University community. The focus of CARE is to offer supportive intervention and guidance to any students who appear to be struggling and help restore their lives academically and personally.

  • The CARE homepage provides information on how to confidentially refer a student to the CARE team by submitting a Student of Concern Report and the academic indicators that may warrant such a referral and provides links to resources for helping students in distress;
  • How to submit a Bias Report, which allows members of the campus community to report acts of bigotry, harassment, intimidation, coercion, or damage to property;
  • A link to the SSU Red Folder website, a reference tool that contains safety tips and contact information for a wide variety of emergency campus resources;

Thanks for all you do to support our students and help them succeed!
