School of Social Sciences
The School of Social Sciences supports research by social science faculty via:
- Dean's Professional Development Research Award (application deadline is usually early the prior Spring)
- Community Impact Research Award (CIRA) (application deadline is usually the prior Spring)
- Dean's Summer Research Grants (application deadline is usually mid-Spring)
- Faculty Travel Fund (application deadline is early Fall and early Spring semesters)
- Social Sciences Undergraduate Research Initiative (SSURI) (application deadline is usually mid-Spring)

Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP)
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) supports faculty, students, and staff engaged in externally and internally funded research, scholarship, and creative activities (RSCA). Programs and forms of support available through ORSP include:
- help with securing internal and external research funding
- help with external research proposal development and review (proposals for external research funding must be reviewed by ORSP; check this link for more information and suggested timeline)
- administration of grants
- ensuring research compliance with ethical practices for both human subjects and animal care and use, fiscal accountability, etc.

Center for Environmental Inquiry (CEI)
The Center for Environmental Inquiry helps the community, faculty, and students study real-world environmental challenges together. Visit their Projects & Funding site to:
